What is d-CFRPs

d-CFRPs is a Marie SkÅ‚odowska-Curie Individual Fellowship Project received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 842467 and implemented by Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands. It started on 1st September 2019 and it ends on 31st August 2021.

Regarding the vast demand for carbon fibres in the short future, turning CFRP waste into a valuable resource is vital for sustainable use of carbon fibres. This project aims to explore routes for the effective use of recycled dis-continuous carbon fibres. Additionally, it contributes to the development and validation of a test method for the fatigue delamination behaviour of CFPRs towards standardisation, together with leading researchers from European Structural Integrity Society Technical Committee 4 (ESIS-TC4).

This project offers the researcher a great opportunity to gain leading knowledge, skills and expertise in the design, manufacturing, characterisation and analysis of composite materials. At the same time, he advances his research leadership and management skills, transferable skills and professional excellence by working with leading researchers at TU Delft and ESIS-TC4.
